HISTORY OF RAYMOND LEVINE, INC. 1924-2008

We custom design fine clothing and feature extensive collections of exquisite clothing, sportswear, and shoes in our comfortable and highly accessible location in the Hickory Creek Market Place. The store showcases its unique men's clothing collection in the historic, south suburban Chicago town of Frankfort, Illinois, in Will County. about forty minutes southwest of Chicago's Loop and only 20 minutes from west suburban Woodridge via the new I-355. We are drawn to purchase clean, contemporary interpretations of classic designs from the world's leading manufacturers. We aspire to supply you timeless fashion with a purity of form that allows the item to stand on its own without the need to be concerned about acceptability. Accessories are selected to help enhance the designs and to invite overwhelming compliments. Meticulous selection of materials and the finest craftsmanship ensures that each garment will last longer than your prior experiences have provided.

At Raymond Levine, our goal is simple; to provide the fullest level of service for all your clothing needs. Your fashion matters to us, because YOU matter to us. We help people create style, and that makes the world a better place. We take this very seriously, and it is part of who and what we are. Raymond Arthur Levine taught us this manner in 1924, when he opened his doors for the first time in the legendary, southside Chicago Roseland community at 340 E. Kensington Avenue. His reputation for customer care, keen fashion sense, and congenial personality snowballed during the 30's and 40's.

It was in 1952 that his son-in-law Robert S. Glick joined this effort to continue the already famous reputation of the store. In 1974, Bob Glick shifted the geographical focus to the rising southern suburb of Flossmoor, Illinois and surrounding communities. Together, Bob and his son Jeff Glick simply synthesized this fine men's clothing store to rapidly changing technology and the increasing designer enthusiasm of the times, while merchandising to the extremely upscale demographics of the south suburban area. The introduction of custom clothes soon caught  fire as very large, tall, short, portly, and thin men now had a highly professional store to rely on for their needs. Far reaching word of mouth about our perfect fittings spread quickly.

Now located just 8 miles west of Flossmoor Commons, Raymond Levine services the men's clothing needs of the southwest suburban Chicago Lincolnway area, Kankakee, and Joliet, and is frequented by clients regularly from Chicago's west and northern suburbs, and northwest Indiana. It is no surprise to be asked to supply our regular customers in Ohio, New York, Washington D.C. and State, Oregon, Nebraska, Florida, Texas, or Wisconsin on any given day.
